Hi, my name is Dan. Redeem The Dream is the story of how I discovered my peace, hope and calling. Journey with the teenage me via a one-way ticket from Germany to Oregon in pursuit of a basketball dream. Upon arriving, nothing works out as planned. It is the beginning of a long learning process of figuring out who I am, navigating adversity and the constant reality of how God works all things out for the good of those who love Him.
Author
Daniel Marsden was born and raised in Germany. At the age of sixteen he moved to the United States on his own. Dan graduated from William Jessup University with a BS in Counseling Psychology and Bible Theology as well as a one-year certificate in Sports Ministry. Later he completed a three-year ordination process with the Church of God, Anderson as well as several graduate level courses in Organizational Leadership at Mid America Christian University. He founded and led a nonprofit organization which stood in the gap for marginalized youth from 2013 to 2019, Redeem The Dream, Inc. Since 2020 Dan serves as a sworn member of the Louisville Metro Police Department. He is passionate about fighting exploitation. Specifically, as it relates to Human Trafficking.
